![]() ![]() Nearby Share Beta for Windows PCs is not currently supported within the following regions: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. From Google search: Nearby Sharing is Googles method for allowing two Android smartphones or tablets to quickly share content between devices. The beta currently supports sharing with Android smartphones and tablets. To share from Android to PC, make sure the Nearby Share Beta app is running on your PC and select the PC from the list of available devices. Meanwhile, file sharing is automatically accepted if both devices are logged into your Google account. You can send photos, screenshots, videos and documents to your Android device using Nearby Share Beta. Nearby sharing is a windows feature (similar to SHAREit and AirDrop), that lets you transfer your different files to nearby devices, using Bluetooth and Wi-F. If you're sending to yourself, the file will automatically download. The recipient must accept the file before it is downloaded. Or you can right-click the Start menu and select 'Settings.' In Settings, select 'System,' then click 'Nearby Sharing.' In Nearby Sharing settings, locate the 'Nearby Sharing' section and expand it if necessary. ![]() You can share files via the share menu on Android or by dragging and dropping on Windows. What is Nearby Share So what exactly is Nearby Share Nearby Share allows you to share all kinds of things wirelessly between devices compatible with the feature. Google is hoping to lure workers back to the office with a new on-site hotel special, but some workers aren’t convinced it’s a good deal. To do so, press Windows+i to open the Settings app. After finishing the process, your Windows device will be ready to pair with your android devices.
